The twenty-eight addresses

What this is, and what it is not

Every organisation named below was researched by name, independently of whatever is now served at its old address. None of them has done anything wrong. In most cases an address was given up during a merger, a renaming or the end of a funded programme, which is ordinary administration, and nobody told them what happened next. Several only learned of it from an email from me.

Where an address is marked as still the organisation’s own, the site was interfered with rather than released. That is a different act with different law attached, and it is noted as such.

Addresses are printed as text rather than as links, since following them serves the operators’ advertising.

What changed on 7 October 2026

Nine of the addresses below now return a Cloudflare block page instead of any content: pmetb.org.uk, explorenorthpennines.org.uk, withinherwords.co.uk, lovethebroads.org.uk, excellencegateway.org.uk, icc-ccs.org.uk, cheltenhamcyclingfestival.org.uk, goodhope.org.uk and spongate-coventry.org.uk. The block appears from two separate networks, so it is not particular to one connection, and all nine still resolve normally in the domain name system, so nothing has been suspended or taken down. What it prevents is verification. The status shown for those nine is the last state confirmed, on 30 September 2026, and should be read as that rather than as a current reading.

Three more now send a visitor somewhere else. hornseywoodgreenlabour.org.uk redirects to Yahoo, travelineeastanglia.org.uk redirects to Google, and travelineeastanglia.co.uk shows a travel site. None of the three has been given back. Both traveline addresses were registered on the same day in September 2021, both were renewed within the past few weeks to September 2027, and both registrants are withheld. Sending an unwanted visitor to a search engine is a technique rather than a remedy, and the status for all three is unchanged.

Two addresses have been put right. That figure is unchanged.

The seven operators

These are not twenty-eight separate buyers. Seven operators hold all but nine of the addresses, and each one gives itself away in how it moves a visitor off the page. The letters are labels for this investigation rather than anyone else’s naming, and they appear in the Operator column below.

A

Links straight out to named affiliate accounts, with the account numbers left visible in the page source.

B

Hides its affiliate links behind a /visit/ path and brands itself as a non-GamStop casino guide. Thirty-four of its thirty-six casino brands appear in the same order across its sites.

C

Routes clicks through /out/offer.php carrying one publisher ID, which appears on 923 pages worldwide.

D

Also holds a deliberate misspelling of its own address, and names it in the footer.

E

Hides links behind a /go/ path and ten random characters, and blocks search engines from following them.

F

Carries no outbound links in the source at all, and returns the home page for every path requested.

G

Casino links injected straight into a live institutional page, with no cloaking of any kind.

?

Indexed by search engines as a casino page, but serving something else when checked, so the signature could not be read.
