Art
Paintings & visual work
Outdoors I work in acrylic—plein air landscapes, usually on location in Essex and along the coast. In the studio I use oils. I also make prints: dry point, lino, mono prints, and chine-colleé—a technique where foils and other papers are pressed into the plate during printing to become part of the image. Art and design have always been the same practice for me: looking carefully, then making something from what you see.

Tollesbury Arts Trail
I help organise the Tollesbury Arts Trail—a community arts walk through the village that brings together local artists and brings visitors to the area. Part of what the Nearmark platform was built for.

Nearmark
The GPS-based location-aware app platform I built that powers the Tollesbury Arts Trail and the LGBT Heritage walking tours. Open-source, free to self-host, built for communities without technology budgets.
