Outdoors I work in acrylic, plein air landscapes, usually on location in Essex and along the coast. In the studio I use oils. I also make prints: dry point, lino, mono prints, and chine-colleé, a technique where foils and other papers are pressed into the plate during printing to become part of the image. Art and design have always been the same practice for me: looking carefully, then making something from what you see.
